The Alaska Hemophilia Association and Alaska Bleeding Disorder Clinics are so excited to share that we’re hosting our fifth annual Women’s Retreat! We’re still putting the final touches on the schedule, but here’s a sneak peek at what we have planned:

- Friday, March 27th: Hotel check in at 4:00pm, followed by icebreakers and dinner at 5:30pm. There is also an opening event after dinner.

- Saturday, March 28th: A full day of classes and activities with meals provided.

- Sunday, March 29th: Breakfast from 8:00 am to 9:00 am, followed by a closing session.

A more detailed schedule will be posted on our website before the start of the retreat.

The retreat is open to all women aged 16 and over who live in Alaska and have a bleeding disorder, are a carrier of a bleeding disorder, or are a care provider for someone with a bleeding disorder. Young adults under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian and share a room with them. Nursing children under 1 year old may attend with their mother, but there will be no daycare services available. Because space is limited, we are only able to offer meals and programming to registered participants.

Please note that while we will do our best to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee that the venue will be able to accommodate all food allergens. It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to ensure that they make proper arrangements for meals. AHA will not cover the cost of additional meals unless extreme extenuating circumstances exist. If you believe that you have such circumstances, please contact the event director for a review. If approved, reimbursements will be offered.
