Thank you for your interest in volunteering with RezKids VBS this summer! The dates will be June 8-12, 2026 from 8:30a-12:00p, with a mandatory Volunteer training from 3-5pm on Sunday, May 31 (food provided). There will be an additional, optional time to help get Rez transformed (decorated) for VBS on the afternoon of Sunday, May 7, following the second service.
Volunteer roles for VBS include...
Shepherds: these individuals work in a small group of co-Shepherds to lead and journey alongside a community of kids throughout the week. They develop a theme name, participate in activities and worship with their students, and guide some times of reflection and prayer.
Activity Leaders: these individuals work solo or in small groups (in partnership with the group Shepherds) to facilitate an experience/activity for students. Past examples include art, sports, photography, wilderness adventure, birdwatching, improv, dance, and more!
Youth Helpers: these individuals are RezYouth students (entering Grades 7-12) who want to partner with Shepherds and Activity Leaders in putting on the RezKids VBS!
Worship Leaders & Teachers: are ideally also serving in a Shepherd or Activity Leader role, and facilitating that element of the day (worship: for 10-15 minutes each day; teachers: once over the course of the week).
