  • Minnesota Golf License Plate Grant

  • The Minnesota Golf License Plate was introduced to help enhance and grow the game of golf in the State of Minnesota. The focus of the grants are to enhance the golf experience in the areas of youth, military, and inclusion in Minnesota. To qualify for a grant, your program must fit into one or more of those categories.

     

    Notes before applying:

    • This application should only be used if you are applying for funds to implement a program in the state of Minnesota.
    • Applications should be completed prior to the start of your program. (i.e. if you will be conducting Golf in Schools in January, complete the grant form that is due in the fall).
    • You may include a cover letter.
    • Every question must be answered. If the question is not applicable, use N/A.
    • Some applications may only receive a partial amount of their total requested funding.

    Items to attach at the end of the application:

    • List of Board Members or governing body of your organization, if applicable.
    • Program schedule and/or promotional materials, if applicable
    • Most recent IRS tax return form 990 or 1120. If a 990 is not available, provide either proof of 501(c)(3) status or provide a copy of your non-profit registration with the Minnesota Department of State.

  • Instructor Rates - Please select if a PGA/LPGA Professional or Associate will be responsible for administering the program. Only one PGA/LPGA Professional or Associate will be allowed payment from this grant for instruction for any program other than Golf In Schools. The PGA/LPGA Professional or Associate must be present during each meeting if they will be administering the program. Instruction by a PGA/LPGA Member or Associate will be the only instruction time reimbursed from this grant. The reimbursement rate per hour is $35.

    Golf In Schools - If you are applying for a Golf In Schools grant, instruction for PGA/LPGA Members and Associates ONLY will be awarded for multiple instructors. The maximum amount awarded per instructor for Golf In Schools is $3,000.
