    About Us
Innovative Piano & Arts (IPAS) is a music teaching studio offering both online and in-person lessons. Our goal is to make high-quality music education accessible while pairing students with instructors who are skilled, professional, and passionate about helping students grow. Our instructors are simply the best at what they do.

    Job Summary
We are currently looking for in-person instructors who can teach piano, voice, and/or guitar in person in your local area. This is a great opportunity for experienced, passionate music instructors who want consistent students without having to run the business side of teaching.

Unlike other teaching options, we don’t leave you to find students, manage scheduling, or collect payments. Our studio provides the systems and support—you focus on being a great teacher.

    Benefits of Working With Us
A full-service studio staff handles payments, scheduling, and student support.
IPAS provides marketing and enrollment to bring you students.
You teach locally from your approved home studio or an approved partner location (no “random travel” expectations unless agreed in writing).
You get the support of a studio team while still teaching with flexibility.

    Qualifications and Skills
    Preferred Experience
An undergraduate degree in music from an accredited college/university or
1+ years of successful teaching experience with kids and adults.
    Required Skills
Strong understanding of music theory and performance, with the ability to create thoughtful, custom lesson plans for each student based on their goals and interests.
An amazing attitude, passion for teaching, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, varying situations.
A desire to build long-term relationships with your students and with our community.
Reliable communication and professionalism with parents and IPAS staff.

    Required In-Person Teaching Setup

Home Studio Requirements (if teaching from home)

    - A clean, safe, quiet, dedicated teaching space
    - A designated waiting area / seating for parents (chairs or seating available)
    - No pets present in the teaching area during lesson hours

    Instrument-appropriate setup:

    - Piano: acoustic piano or full 88 key quality weighted keyboard
    - Voice: suitable space for vocal instruction (minimal interruptions)
    - Guitar: appropriate seating and teaching setup
    - Ability to follow IPAS policies (attendance, cancellations, communication, student progress updates)

If you do not meet the home studio requirements, you must be willing to teach at an approved partner location instead.

    Preferences
Experience teaching in-person lessons in a studio or home-studio environment
A well-established local presence (or willingness to build one with IPAS support)
Please include a brief cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for the position

    Compensation
    Job Type: Part-Time Independent Contractor
Starting Rate: 45% of Monthly Tuition Rate (averaging $25.00/hour)

    Schedule
    Monday–Friday
Weekend availability (if available & needed)
Lessons are in-person in the Greenville/Upstate area at an approved home studio or partner location.
