COURSE DESCRIPTION
CompTIA A+ Certification Training Program
DC 37’s Education Fund, in conjunction with Monroe University, offers a CompTIA A+ certification course to eligible DC 37 members. A+ is an industry-standard certification for entry-level IT professionals that validates foundational skills in hardware, software, networking, troubleshooting, security and operational procedures.
All sessions of this course are offered virtually and members will be provided with digital handouts and/or other supplemental material to complete the course and prepare for certification. Additionally, some of the sessions may require participants to complete independent hands-on, practice assignments as part of the course. Again, these practice assignments are setup to prepare you to sit for and pass the A+ certification exam given by CompTIA+.
This certification course requires members to have certain technical equipment, specifically:
A PC or laptop running Windows 7 OS or higher and a stable internet connection (no phones or tablets)
Webcam and microphone (camera must be on during all class sessions)
Additionally, members may be required to submit documentation of previous education, current certification(s) and/or to take and complete a technical assessment to determine your candidacy to successfully enroll in this course. To sit for the A+ certification exam as part of this program, members will need to complete assignments/homework and avoid poor attendance (logging in to class late, logging out of class early or not having your webcam turned on).
