    Powerchair Football Coach EOI

  • We’re looking for passionate, community-minded coaches to get involved in Powerchair Football, an exciting, fast-paced team sport designed specifically for wheelchair users.

    You don’t need prior Powerchair Football experience. Training and support will be provided to help you build confidence, understand the game, and support athletes to thrive on and off the court.

     

    Need to know

    • Training and game play takes place on Saturday's during term time between 10am-12:30pm in Gungahlin

    What you’ll do

    • Coach and support athletes during training and match days (timings above)
    • Learn and apply the FIPFA Laws of the Game (training provided)
    • Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive team environment
    • Work with athletes of all ages living with physical disability

    Who we’re looking for

    • People with an interest in coaching, football, or community sport
    • A willingness to learn and be part of an inclusive environment
    • An interest in working with young people and adults with disability

    Requirements

    • Coaches and volunteers must complete a Working with Children Check
    • Be available for the training and game play sessions noted above
