These kit lists are provided as guidance only. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure they bring suitable equipment and clothing appropriate to the activity, conditions, and season.
Day Hiking Kit List
Essential Items
Rucksack (20–35L)
Waterproof jacket (with hood)
Waterproof trousers
Warm insulating layer (fleece or synthetic jacket)
Base layer (avoid cotton)
Walking trousers or leggings
Sturdy walking boots or shoes with good grip
Hat and gloves (year-round)
Food and snacks for the day
Water (minimum 1.5–2 litres)
Personal medication
Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
