About the Scholarship
The NAEMT Foundation provides scholarships to support individuals pursuing EMS education at the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level.
Applications are accepted March 1–April 30. Scholarships are awarded in June.
Who May Apply
You may apply if you are seeking scholarship support for:
- Enrolling in an EMR or EMT education program, and
- Coursework that has not already been completed
This scholarship does not support paramedic-level education.
Applicants may be:
- Beginning an EMS program in an upcoming term, or
- Currently enrolled in an EMS program and requesting support for a future or ongoing term
Important Scholarship Conditions
Please note:
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to the educational institution
- Recipients must begin the program in the term for which the award is granted
- Recipients are expected to complete the program, maintain passing grades, and seek certification testing upon completion
- Recipients must provide follow-up information and sign an award agreement
