In order for visitors to use campfires, barbecues & chimineas, campers must agree in writing to accept responsibility for the fires and follow all instructions relating to the operation of fires including the following:
- At no time should the fire be left unattended, and all children should be properly supervised.
- Fires should be lit in cleared areas, where there are no overhanging branches and minimal grass and scrub.
- The fire must be a safe distance from all property, vehicles, tents and any other camping equipment.
- Highly flammable items such as gas cylinders and fuel cans should not be allowed anywhere near the fire area.
- Never use any kind of flammable liquid on a fire or in an attempt to start the fire.
- Before starting a fire ensure there is a large bucket of water and a shovel nearby.
- Put your campfire out with a good amount of water when you have finished with it. Do not use sand or dirt for this purpose instead.
- Make sure the fire is completely out before leaving.
For communal campfires, it is a requirement of this insurance that a member of Your staff is given the responsibility to ensure the operation and care of the campfire is performed with care and in line with all the instructions set out above.
Waiver
I understand and acknowledge that the use of Campfires, Barbeques & Chimineas can expose me to many inherent risks. I have read the instructions relating to the operation of fires and warrant that I know of no reason as to why I am unable to comply to these instructions when using Campfires, Barbeques & Chimineas at The Briar after having read this waiver, I agree, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, to HOLD HARMLESS, WAIVE AND RELEASE The Briar to its site, officers, agents, employees, organisers, representatives, and successors from any responsibility, liabilities, demands or claims of any kind arising out of my
use Campfires, Barbeques & Chimineas. I am aware that this is a waiver and a release of liability, and I voluntarily agree to its terms.
