  • Family Group Description

Family Group is a sub-community of Koinonia focused on a gospel-centered community open to students of all ethnicities who desire to participate in a fellowship primarily dedicated to the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) experience.  It is for students to commune and fellowship with one another, explore Asian identity in light of the Gospel, and grow together in the image of Christ. Students who participate in Family Group can expect an intimate, casual environment centered on shared meals, storytelling, and honest conversations. Family groups are a place to build a "home" beyond surface-level conversations, where every student feels seen, known, and supported.

Family Group Leaders are responsible for hosting weekly meetings and providing proactive care for their members. This role is for those who are "rooted" in their own relationship with God and eager to lead others from an overflow of that love.
