This is an active, hands-on role where energy, movement, and a willingness to jump in are essential to creating a fast, smooth, yet still whimsical experience for every guest. Team members need to be able to do the following:
- Stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a full shift (4–8+ hours)
- Frequently bend, reach, twist, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Lift and carry up to 25–40 pounds regularly, including repeatedly lifting 2.75-gallon ice cream tubs
- Push, pull, and reposition equipment, including tables, chairs, and small fixtures within the store
- Use hands and arms continuously for scooping ice cream, preparing orders, and handling products
- Work in both warm and cold environments, including frequent use of dipping cabinets and freezers
- Maintain balance and coordination while carrying items and navigating tight or busy spaces
- Perform repetitive motions, such as scooping, topping, and assembling desserts
- Respond quickly to customer and team needs, including moving between stations during busy periods
