Designed for pre-college singers, this six-day vocal intensive that offers specialized training in operatic performance. The curriculum focuses on refining vocal technique, preparing collegiate audition repertoire, and exploring and discovering the rich history of the operatic art form. The program culminates in a showcase for invited guests. Participants receive daily one-on-one music, langauge, and drama coaching and vocal instruction from working industry professionals.
Program Details:
Dates & Times: Tuesday, July 7th through Sunday, July 12th. 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM each day
Ages: Applicants must be rising ninth through rising twelth grade students
Tuition: $600
Audition Information: This is an audition based program offering a limited number of spaces. Applicants must come in person to audition at Sarasota Opera House.
Auditions will consist of one classical selection in any language.
Selected singers will be assigned repertoire that will be learned before arriving at the intensive. The pre-assigned repertoire will include one solo piece in Italian and an ensemble piece in English.

| Practice Opportunity |
Singers will have access to the Sarasota Opera House facilities for some individual practice time a day, where they can work on solo material or ensemble numbers. |
| Performance |
Family & friends are invited to a final performance on the last day of the intensive. Each singer will perform an aria sung in Italian and an ensemble scene sung in English. |
