9:00 am - 1:00 pm EST Live, Virtual
This live, virtual course is designed for OT, PT and SLPs specializing in therapy for the newborn to 12 week old infant. For those of us assessing and treating babies in this window of opportunity, we clearly see how sensory sensitivities and differences impact function, however, knowing what to do is less obvious.
The 4th trimester is the most dynamic postnatal growth phase of the brain in the human infant. Baby's cerebellum grows at the highest rate, more than doubling in first 90 days after birth. Understanding this period of prolific brain development helps us understand why it's imperative to address sensory dysfunction in the newborn to precrawling infant. It matters more now than ever.
Join us for a sensory science journey in this unique course. We will learn about the senses, modulation, regulation, how to create a sensory diet for this population and more.
