2026 Young Artist Scholarship
  • Young Artist Scholarship

to LARAC Artist Retreat at Wiawaka Oct 2-Oct 4, 2026
  • Now in its third year, LARAC’s Artist Retreat returns to Wiawaka Center for Women this Fall, Oct 2-4, 2026. Visual artists, writers, performing artists, composers and others working in the arts will attend this special weekend to refresh and restore their artistic practice, inspired by Wiawaka’s beautiful setting on Lake George.

Honoring the spirit of Wiawaka’s history of providing artists and art students a peaceful, natural location to retreat, this year LARAC is offering two scholarships covering all costs for two young artists age 25-40 to join the LARAC Artist Retreat in October. We are grateful to the Guild of Adirondack Artists for providing grant funding for one of our Artist Retreat scholarships this year. And LARAC is delighted to be able to fund the other scholarship.

The scholarship is not necessarily financially need-based. It is offered more as support towards an artist’s growth and ongoing artistic journey. The retreat is open to artists of any gender.
