Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Olmsted Plein Air 2026 PaintQuick. This year the PaintQuick will be held in Winn Park in the Ansley Park neighborhood just blocks from Colony Square, Woodruff Arts Center and Peachtree Street.
The PaintQuick compeition is open to any and all skill levels and awards will be given in the following categories:
- Invited Artists Participating in the 12th Annual Olmsted Plein Air Invitational, 1st, 2nd & 3rd placement
- Registered Artists from anywhere - who we refer to as Community Artists (professional, amateur, beginner), 1st, 2nd & 3rd placement
- Youth Artists - ages 16-21, 1st, 2nd & 3rd placement
- Young aspiring artists 15 and younger are welcome to join the fun. No prizes awarded in this category.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
- Sign-In/Canvas Authentication Stamping 7:45-8:29 a.m.
- Artists Begin Painting 8:30 a.m.
- Completed painting is framed, wired for hanging, titled, tagged, set up on easel and ready for judging 10:30 a.m.
- Judging 10:31-10:50 a.m.
- Awards Presentation 10:51-11:10 a.m.
- Painting Sales 11:11 a.m. till noon
- Pack up, clean up (leave no trace) 12:01-12:15 p.m.
Guidelines and Rules:
- All artists must begin from a blank canvas/paper/board/etc and all must be stamped for authentication.
- Artists begin painting at 8:30 a.m. Honor system. Utilize your phone to track time.
- Paintings must be set up on the artists' easel for judging no later than 10:30 a.m. Paintings are to be framed, wired for hanging, titled and tagged. Tags will be provided.
- Tags must be completed and attached to the right side of the painting.
- All paintings will be available for sale. Olmsted Arts will process all sales.
- Artists receive 60% of the sale. Olmsted Arts receives 40% of the sale.
- Artist commisssions are paid within thirty days of the close of the 12th Annual Olmsted Plein Air Invitational (show closes 4/26/26). Please assure the address used in this application is the same address for us to send commission checks. If your address changes after registration, it is the responsibility of the artist to advise Olmsted Arts of the change.
- It is important that we leave the park cleaner than when we arrived. Remove all trash, leave nothing behind.
This is a rain or shine event. In case of forecast severe weather, you will receive an email advising of alternative plans. No shows or cancelations forfeit registration fee.
