Kanga Cup 2026 runs from Monday 13 to Friday 17 July 2026. The tournament consist of four (4) days of competition at Calwell, Harrison, Mawson, Dickson, Charnwood and Kambah 3 playing fields. The Grand Final will be held on, Friday 17 July at Lyneham.
We are inviting expressions of interest local food and coffee vendors to provide our participants and spectators with delicious and affordable food options throughout the event.
This EOI process is designed to capture relevant information from prospective vendors to assist the Kanga Cup Organising Committee in curating a diverse and high-quality vendor line-up for the tournament.
The Organising Committee will assess applications against the criteria outline below:
EOI Assessment Criteria
The Organising Committee will consider the following:
- Historical Participation: Has the vendor previously serviced Kanga Cup, satisfaction rates e.g. customer experience, affordability and compliance.(Please note: prior participation does not guarantee selection.)
- Commitment to Event Duration: Is the vendor committed to trading across multiple days of the tournament?
- Timeliness: Has the EOI been submitted by the specified deadline?
- Completeness of Application: Has the vendor provided all requested information by the deadline.
- Menu Submission:
- Operational Requirements: Can the vendor meet the site requirements outlined by the event operator (including equipment, power and water. If additional services are required, does the vendor consent to any associated costs?
- Is the vendor a local business? Preference will be given to local ACT businesses, other businesses outside ACT may still apply.
Commercial Terms
Successful vendors will be required to pay a site commission calculated on total gross sales (inclusive of GST) generated during the event.
The commission structure is as follows:
- 15% of total gross sales – Food Vendors
- 10% of total gross sales – Coffee and Dessert Vendors
Commission payments must be reconciled against the required daily machine-generated sales reports and paid in accordance with the terms outlined in the Vendor Agreement.
Failure to accurately declare sales or remit commission may result in termination of agreement and ineligibility for future Kanga Cup events.
Financial Reporting Requirements
Successful vendors will be required to provide daily sales reports generated directly from their point-of-sale (POS) system or payment terminal machine.
Reports must be machine-generated and supplied in original format. Manually created summaries or emailed written sales declarations will not be accepted. The reports must be reconciled and provided to the organising committee within 30 days of tournament end date 17 August 2026.
Failure to comply with reporting requirements may constitute a breach of agreement and may impact eligibility for future events.
Important Dates and Conditions
The deadline to submit an expression of interest is 11.59pm, 30 April 2026.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome from 18 May 2026.
Successful applicants will be emailed a Vendor Agreement to be signed by the specified date. Failure to return the executed agreement within the required timeframe will result in the offer being withdrawn and the application being deemed ineligible.
