- After you fill out your application we will contact you for an brief video interview.
- All volunteers must attend the portions of orientation required for their role. The main/preferred dates are June 24, 25, and 26 (alternate dates are May 30 and 31). If you are accepted as a volunteer, we'll discuss the required elements for your position.
- If you are a high school student, please discuss your volunteer plans with a parent or guardian before starting this application to confirm schedule, transportation availability, etc. Additionally, if you are under 18, a parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver for your participation.
Dates: Weekdays June 29 – July 31 (closed July 3)

Please read the volunteer role descriptions, then select your first choice. (Optional: you may also indicate a second choice.)
Counselor (entering 11th grade and up) / Assistant Counselor (entering 10th grade and up)
Duties:
- With a counselor team, ensure a fun and productive day for about 12-16 students
Preferred minimum volunteer commitment:
- All day (8-4) for one week OR half day (8-12:30 or 12-4) for two weeks
- More weeks are encouraged – sustained relationships are beneficial for the kids!!
- We can discuss alternative schedules
Desired qualities:
- Enjoys working with kids or pre-teens
- Able to work as a team with other counselors to mentor students
- Comfortable taking initiative and making decisions to ensure all students have a positive experience
Tennis Coach (entering 11th grade and up) / Assistant Tennis Coach (entering 10th grade and up)
Duties:
- With a team, coach tennis to small groups of kids from beginner to intermediate levels
Preferred minimum volunteer commitment:
- All day (8:30-2:30) for one week OR half day (8:30-12:30 or 12:30-2:30) for two weeks
- More weeks are encouraged – sustained relationships are beneficial for the kids!!
- We are happy to discuss alternative schedules
Desired qualities:
- Enjoys working with kids or pre-teens
- Able to work as a team with other coaches to mentor students
- Comfortable taking initiative and making decisions to ensure all students have a positive experience
Math Tutor (entering 10th grade and up; adults and retirees welcome!)
Duties:
- Work with 1 or 2 students at a time to support their math skills over the summer
Preferred volunteer commitment of 5 sessions:
- Tutoring sessions take place 1:00-3:15 Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
Desired qualities:
- Enjoys working with students (grades 2-8) and showing them the fun in math
- Comfortable using our games / activities to build skills for elementary school students (math facts, multi-digit operations, fractions, etc.) and helping middle school students master foundational skills (fractions, decimals, percents, ratios, equations, etc.)
Reading Tutor (entering 10th grade and up; adults and retirees welcome!)
Duties:
- Work individually or with a small group of students to support their reading skills over the summer
Preferred volunteer commitment of 5 sessions:
- Reading sessions take place 9-10:30 and 10:30-noon each day
Desired qualities:
- Enjoys working with students (grades 2-8) and showing them the joy in reading
- Comfortable reading and leading discussions with students, assisting with projects, and using our phonics materials to help beginning readers
