Volunteering

In the Cooperative Nursery School model parents are a vital part of our school community and take an active role in their child’s education by volunteering and participating in the hands-on learning environment of our classroom. We will need each family to volunteer at least 6 days throughout the year (possible more days depending on enrolment). Families are also asked to sign up once per year or more depending on enrollmetn to give the classroom a deeper cleaning.

We are offering a volunteer buy-out option for families who are unable to participate in classroom volunteering or cleaning this year.

The cost of the volunteer buy-out is $150 per semester or $300 per year.
Tuition & Payment Policy

Annual Tuition (Fall & Spring Semesters): $1,300

Families may choose one of the following payment options:

Payment Option 1: Pay in Full (Discounted)

$1,250 ($1150 if paid $100 deposit) due September 17, 2026 (Discount applies only when tuition is paid in full by the due date.)

Payment Plan Option 2: Two Payments

$600 ($500 if paid $100 deposit) due September 17, 2026

$700 due January 14, 2027

Tuition payments are the responsibility of the family and are due by the dates listed above.

Fundraising Requirement & Buy-Out Option

Each family is required to contribute $350 per semester in fundraising. Families may fulfill this requirement by: Participating in school fundraising efforts, or Choosing the fundraiser buy-out option and paying $350 per semester directly.

Families who participate in fundraising but do not raise the full $350 are responsible for paying any remaining balance by the fundraiser due date.

Fall Fundraiser

Spring Fundraiser

$350 or remaining balance Due: June 1, 2027

The HCNS board will have several vacant positions. If you are interested in a board spot it will earn you $50 toward your fundraising each semester.

Enrollment may be suspended or terminated if tuition or fundraising obligations are not met, subject to Board review.

Optional Wrap Around Lunch

The lunch program is a wonderful fit for families looking for an extended day or any students planning to attend the Honeoye Central School District afternoon UPK program. Children may attend the Honeoye Cooperative Nursery School in the morning, stay with us for lunch, and then be bused directly to the afternoon UPK program or be picked up.

Lunch is optional and billed separately from tuition. Pricing will depend on enrollment, allowing us to keep the program affordable for families. Families provide their child’s lunch from home. The lunch program is staffed by our teacher and runs from 11:30-12:30pm directly after class.

Enrollment Policy Acknowledgement

The standard enrollment option at Honeoye Cooperative Nursery School is three (3) days per week.

Requests for attendance fewer than three days per week or for one-semester enrollment may be submitted for Board review and approval. Approval is not guaranteed. Families approved for a non-standard schedule understand that such enrollment is conditional. If the program reaches capacity and a child requests enrollment for the standard three-day program, the school reserves the right to prioritize standard enrollment due to financial considerations. Reasonable notice will be provided if a change in enrollment status is required.
I understand that by registering my child(ren) in Honeoye Cooperative Nursery School, I am making a commitment that involves more than paying Registration Fees and Tuition. I agree to fulfill all commitments and obligations that come with being an HCNS parent, including any and all above commitments for which I did not choose a buy-out option. If I do not follow through on my commitments and obligations, I understand that additional charges will be added to my tuition.
