  • Thank you for your interest in serving as a student facilitator for the 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program. To be considered as a candidate for a facilitator position, applicants must:
    • Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student.
    • Have completed at least 24 credit hours by the end of May 2026.
    • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
    • Be a student in good standing with Widener University - no judicial sanctions.
    • Complete and submit this online application.
    • Upload a current resume when submitting this application.
    • Complete an interview with OSIB Staff.
     
    Please note that preference will be given to applicants that have previously participated in the 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program.
     
    Use of AI in your application answers and/or your interview is prohibited. If we suspect AI use, it will reflect poorly on you and your candidacy.
     
    Student facilitators are volunteers. Meals and housing (for resident students only) costs are covered by the OSIB Office during the training and program.
     
    Applications are due by Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
     
    1821 Facilitator Training will occur August 9 - 12, 2026.
    The 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program will be August 13 - 17, 2026.

  • Student facilitators for "The 1821 Experience" are required to attend training, planning sessions and be available until the program ends. Participation may also include summer recruitment efforts and training activities in June/July. Are you available to attend the pre-program activities and sessions for the entirety of the pre-orientation?*

If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the OSIB Assistant Director. Please note: The number of facilitators selected is based on the number of freshmen students that register for the 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program. Remember to submit your online application and current resume no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026.
