  • Please have the following information at hand (if you do not have this information, please speak with your club administrator):

    Age categories for individual events:

    • Primary – 6–8 years
    • Juvenile – 9–11 years
    • Junior – 12–14 years
    • Senior – 15–17 years
    • Collegiate – 18+ years

    Should you need to make a change, the confirmation email will allow you to edit the registration form up to and including the entry deadline.

    On event that your athlete is not be entered in, please select the “Not Entered / Deselect Entry” option.

    We are not able to accept multiple entries on one form. If you have more than one family member, you will need to complete one form for each athlete.

    NOTE: You will receive a PDF copy of the registration via email. Please retain this for your records in case you need to submit it to your club or region at a later date for reimbursement.

    If you have any question about what your athlete should be registered in, please talk to your coach! They will provide you with the guidance you need.

    All pre competitive events are $10.00/event and Compulsories and Short Program are $18.00/event. If you are registering for Compulsories with Freestyle, the applicable fee will be charged under the Freestyle section of this form.

  • OPEN EVENTS

    All  competitive athletes are eligible to enter open events. Open events are $18.00/each and a duet is $9.00/for each athlete

  • Competition Championship Events - BI and Above

    All athletes in Level BI and higher (and 6 years and older) are eligible to enter Competition Championship events. Athletes in GRADED events are not permitted to enter these events. Competition Championship events are $28.00/each and a duet is $14.00/for each athlete

  • CENTRAL REGION CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS

    Only members of CENTRAL REGION Level BI and higher (and 6 years and older) are eligible to enter CENTRAL REGION Championship events. Athletes in GRADED events are not permitted to enter these events. Regional Championship events are $28.00/each and a duet is $14.00/for each athlete

  • NORTHERN REGION CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS

    Only members of NORTHERN REGION Level BI and higher (and 6 years and older) are eligible to enter NORTHERN REGION Championship events. Athletes in GRADED events are not permitted to enter these events. Regional Championship events are $28.00/each and a duet is $14.00/for each athlete

  • PARKLAND REGION CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS

    Only members of PARKLAND REGION Level BI and higher (and 6 years and older) are eligible to enter PARKLAND REGION Championship events. Athletes in GRADED events are not permitted to enter these events. Regional Championship events are $28.00/each and a duet is $14.00/for each athlete

  • ABTA PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS

    All athletes in Level BI and higher (and 6 years and older) are eligible to enter ABTA Provincial Championship events. Athletes in GRADED events are not permitted to enter these events. Competition Championship events are $28.00/each and a duet is $14.00/for each athlete

  • Freestyle/Rhythmic OPEN Competition

    Freestyle/Rhythmic event is $80 for individuals and Pair is $40/athlete. Pricing includes compulsories if required.

  • Freestyle/Rhythmic W/C Competition

    Freestyle/Rhythmic event is $150 for individuals and Pair is $75/athlete. Pricing includes compulsories if required.

  • FREESTYLE/RHYTHMIC SOLO:  

    Junior Women (female athletes who will be 12 years of age to 17 years of age during the year of the WORLD Freestyle Championship, from January 1 through December 31)  

    Senior Women (female athletes who will be 18 years of age or older during the year of the WORLD Freestyle Championship, from January 1 through December 31)  

    Junior Men (male athletes who will be 12 years of age to 17 years of age during the year of the WORLD Freestyle Championship, from January 1 through December 31)  

    Senior Men (male athletes who will be 18 years of age or older during the year of the WORLD Freestyle Championship, from January 1 through December 31) 

    ***A junior athlete may not compete in an age classification outside of his/her age group (i.e. - a junior athlete may not compete in a senior category, nor may a senior athlete compete in a junior category).     Exception:  A junior athlete may compete in a senior pair.   

     

    FREESTYLE PAIR: 

    Junior Pair - 2 members. Athletes who will be 12 years of age to 17 years of age during the year of the WORLD Freestyle Championship, from January 1 through December 31.  Both athletes must be Junior age   

    Senior Pair - 2 members. Athletes who will be 18 years of age or older during the year of the WORLD Freestyle Championship, from January 1 to December 31.                                                          

    Exception:  A junior athlete may compete in a senior pair   If the pair consists of 1 Junior and 1 Senior, they compete as Senior.   

    *** A pair may consist of 2 female athletes, 1 male and 1 female or 2 male athletes.  A Junior athlete may not compete in both the Junior and Senior Pair divisions with a different pair partner at the championship. 

     

  • Event Critiques

    Event Critiques will be $25/ CBTF event and $40 for freestyle/rhythmic and $20/athlete for pairs and will include voice recording

  • MULTIPLE BATON WORKSHOP WITH GINNETTE GROOME

    Join us Friday evening for a Multiple Baton Workshop with Ginnette Groome! A great opportunity to learn new skills, refine technique, and gain expert tips and tricks! Workshop fee is $30/athlete

  • PARTICIPANT'S ASSUMPTION OF RISK

    I am aware and understand that there are a number of inherent risks involved in my sporting activities which are beyond the control of :

    • Alberta Baton Twirling Association
    • Parkland Region Baton Twirling Association
    • Town of Olds
    • Olds College
    • Ralph Klein Centre

    Therefore, I agree to assume all such risks inherent to my sporting activities.  I further agree that I am personally responsible for any loss, damage, injury or ambulance service resulting from or in connection with such participation.

    The above statement is to include the 2026 Sweet Pea Competition being held on Saturday March 28, 2026.

  • *** Competition Fee - Includes event program and unlimited number of admissions. If there is more than one athlete in a family competing, you only need to pay the $25.00 competition fee once.
