On May 16, 2025, Nassau County launched 516 Day, a county-wide celebration of local pride, businesses, and community named for the iconic 516 area code. The event brought residents and visitors together with exclusive deals, promotions, and local flavors. Following its successful debut, the County returns for a second year of 516 Day on May 16, 2026 — continuing the tradition of celebrating Nassau County businesses and community spirit.

Businesses across Nassau County are invited to participate by offering a 516-themed promotion to attract new customers and celebrate our community, such as:
- Specially priced $5.16 items
- 5.16% discount on products or services
- Free coffee, cookies, small gift, etc.
- Donate prizes for the ultimate 516 Day sweepstakes grand prize package
