  • Rules of the Festival:

    Entrants must be in high school or older. Entrants must live, work, or attend school in Rockingham County.

    All work must be original to the artists in either design, composition or interpretation.

    Music - email an electronic file of each individual piece

    Literature - email each piece in a word or pdf document 

    All Other Categories - All work must be dry and ready to hang when entered. No sawtooth hangers, wire only. Charcoal and pastels must have a protective coating or under glass. Fiber includes - Quilting, weaving, crocheting, knitting, tatting, and fashion design with original design and construction by the artist. 

    Categories - Acrylic, Drawing, Digital Art, Fiber, Jewelry, Literature, Mixed Media, Music, Pastel, Photography, Pottery, Oil, Watercolor, Wood, 3 Dimensional Art. Fiber includes - Quilting, weaving, crocheting, knitting, tatting, and fashion design with original design and construction by the artist.

    Framing and Presentation - All 2D & 3D work must be dry and ready to hang when entered. All paper art must be under glass/plexiglass, matted, or framed. Canvases should have finished edges (painted or gallery-wrapped).

    Hardware - Use sturdy, secure wire hanging systems, typically placed one-third down from the top of the frame. No sawtooth hangers.

    Display - Feel free to bring any specific display items (easels, quilt racks, stands) for your work, particularly Fiber entries. We will accomodate where possible.
