    Next Step Education Foundation, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting college-bound families with the high school to college transition through workshops in the community, boot camps, college fairs, and scholarships.
  • Eligibility Requirements

    For eligibility, students must meet the following requirements: (1) U.S. citizen or or permanent resident of the United States, (2) A high school senior who will matriculate to a 4-year, 2-year, or technical college as a freshman for the Fall 2026 semester, (3) Hold at least a 2.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, (4) Record a 1-minute selfie-style introduction video so that the scholarship committee can get to know you in your own words, (5) Write a 250-500 word essay on your academic, career, or personal future.
  • Required Supporting Documentation

    Supporting documents that you will need to upload to complete this application: (1) A copy of your high school transcript, (2) a letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, club leaders or administrator (Someone who can speak to our academics or work ethic), (3) a copy of your college acceptance correspondence, (4) a copy of your senior photo or appropriate headshot, (5) your scholarship essay, (6) proof of community service, (7) a 1-minute selfie-style introduction video. Introductory Video Submission (Required): Applicants must submit a one-minute introductory video. Record a video introducing yourself (name, school, future plans, and why you are applying for this scholarship). Upload the video to an online platform that generates a shareable link (YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, etc.). Paste the video link into a document (Word or PDF). Upload the document with your application materials.
  • Important Scholarship Application Information

    For consideration, applicants must complete the scholarship application in its entirety, including submission of all supporting documentation, by 11:59PM EST on March 15, 2026. The scholarship funds will be released to the selected awardees after they provide proof of enrollment (enrollment verification letter or class schedule, not an acceptance letter) from their selected college. Allocated scholarship funds for awardees who fail to provide proof of enrollment by August 31, 2026, will be returned to the scholarship fund for future applicants.
