• RSVP for 2/23 Lobby Day for WA State Research Bond

Monday, February 23rd in Olympia Washington
  • Higher education and critical research are under attack. Rather than be beholden to the fickle federal funding situation, UAW members and allies are advocating for a new Washington State Research Institute with its own protected revenue stream: Senate Bill 6321.

SB 6321 is a general obligation bond that would raise $6 billion over the first 6 years to fund WA state research and science done for the public good.

The first public hearing for SB 6321 is on 2/23/26, so UAW members and supportive community members are turning up en masse to communicate why this funding is so critical to us, our universities, and the people of Washington state. We'll send details on the logistics to those who RSVP using this form.

On Monday, February 23rd, Academic Student Employees, Postdocs, Research Staff, and our allies are lobbying in Olympia, WA to demand funding for life-saving research!
