REQUIRED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM & PARTICIPATION POLICY
Leadership Successful Beginnings© prepares adults as well as Career and Technical Education (CTE) students with the professional and workplace readiness skills necessary to succeed in today’s workforce. The program is designed to strengthen workplace readiness, job retention, and professionalism among emerging working-age students transitioning from education to employment, or adults and dislocated workers who may be advancing or re-entering the workforce.
- This program is a required component of the CNA journey provided by Launch Point CDC, its funders, and program sponsors. The program requires just 1 to 2 hours per sitting; it's online, self-paced, and asynchronous. This means there may be times with no set class hours in front of an in-person instructor. Materials, assignments, and communications are accessed at any time through the 24/7 online Class App, and materials are accessible to you throughout the end of the active program period or course.
- Because your Leadership Class is online, updates, information, or assignments are communicated in various technologies and methods posted at various times via e-mail, text, group chat discussions, or forums. Unless otherwise instructed, there is not an expectation of your immediate response to messages via email, text, or postings throughout the day or night.
- Your responsibility is to complete all components of your leadership program as instructed in your Welcome email. Completion times may vary. Typically all leadership assignments are due either before your clinical segment begins, OR the Monday before your scheduled graduation date, OR not later than 3 business days after graduation (depending on the welcome email that you received). Check your welcome email to confirm your leadership class completion date and specific instructions provided in your leadership correspondence provided via text and/or email.
- Our responsibility is to deliver the course training online, support your progress via live facilitation, and report your participation and engagement to your program sponsors.
- Leadership development includes managing your time, engaging in the Class APP as you fit this quick-course into your schedule. Unless a specific due date, time period, or deadline is given, there is no requirement for you to assume immediate urgency communicating back to the Leadership Successful Beginnings team. Just be sure to have all your leadership assignments homework completed as provided in your welcome email class instructions. These are your due dates.
- To meet program requirements and earn the Leadership Certificate, you must complete at least (4) of the assigned (6) chapters in your online Leadership textbook. This takes about 1-hour per day. You may choose to do all your Chapters upfront completing your leadership course ahead of time by doing 2-3 chapters per day; it’s completely up to you as long as you follow the program requirements outlined in your Leadership correspondence provided via email and/or texts from the Leadership Successful Beginnings team.
All we ask is that you:
Engage honestly, fully, and genuinely. You owe that gift to yourself.
If you choose not to engage or participate in the Leadership Successful Beginnings Course components:
- You will not be able to show documentation of the full Launch Point experience to your program sponsors.
- You may become disqualified for the CNA training program.
- We will not be able to issue your Certificate of Completion for the Leadership Development program.
- We will not be able to report your successful participation to the program sponsors.
Remember:
- Leadership is not something someone does to you.
- It’s what you own inside.
For those who would like live support, we host optional Friday Zoom Leadership sessions. Unless otherwise instructed, the Friday Zoom sessions are not mandatory; but they are available if you would like to:
• Ask questions about assignments
• Clarify what is needed to complete your Leadership course
• Receive additional guidance
• Check on your Leadership Class status

By participating in the Leadership Successful Beginnings program, I acknowledge and agree that live sessions may be recorded for educational, quality assurance, and documentation purposes.
I grant permission to the Program Sponsor (LaunchPoint), and Dr. Merle Ray/The Noble Groups, and their respective representatives, to use recordings, images, audio, video, written reflections (excluding confidential personal information), chat excerpts, screenshots, and other program-related materials in which I may appear, for the following purposes:
• Program documentation and training
• Educational use
• Testimonials (written or recorded)
• Marketing and promotional materials
• Press releases and public communications
• Program improvement and reporting
I understand that:
• My participation is voluntary
• No compensation is required or expected for such use
• Materials may be edited for clarity, length, or presentation
• My name will not be disclosed without consent, unless already provided publicly
• Content will be used in a professional, respectful manner consistent with leadership and workforce development standards
I release and hold harmless the Program Sponsor, Dr. Merle Ray, The Noble Groups, and their partners from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from the authorized use of these materials.
This permission remains in effect unless revoked in writing.
