REQUIRED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM & PARTICIPATION POLICY
Leadership Successful Beginnings© prepares adults as well as Career and Technical Education (CTE) students with the professional and workplace readiness skills necessary to succeed in today’s workforce. The program is designed to strengthen workplace readiness, job retention, and professionalism among emerging working-age students transitioniong from education to employment, or adults and dislocated workers who may be re-entering the workforce.
This program is a required component of the CNA journey provided by Launch Point CDC, its funders, and program sponsors. The program requires just 1-hour per week, is completely online, self-paced, and asynchronous. This means there are no set class hours in front of an in-person instructor. All materials, assignments, and communications are accessed at any time through the 24/7 online Class App, and materials are accessible to you throughout the program period until you graduate.
Because the class is online, updates, information, or assignments are communicated in various technologies and methods posted at various times via e-mail, text, group chat discussions, or forums. There is never an expectation of your immediate response to messages via email, text, or postings.
Your responsibility is to complete the required components of your leadership program in the Class APP by the Monday before your scheduled graduation date. Our responsibility is to deliver the course training online, support your progress via live facilitation, and report your participation and engagement to your program sponsors.
Leadership development includes managing your time, engaging in the Class APP as you fit it into your schedule, and meeting commitments within the program period till graduation. Unless a specific due date, time period, or deadline is given, there is no requirement for you to assume immediate urgency communicating back to the Leadership Successful Beginnings team. Just be sure to have all your leadership assignments homework completed the Monday before graduation; that is our only due date.
To meet program requirements and earn the Certificate, you must complete at least (4) of the assigned (6) chapters in your online Leadership textbook. This takes about 1-hour each week. You may choose to do all your Chapters upfront and complete this course ahead of time, or you may choose to take your time and do 1-hour per week; it’s completely up to you.
All we ask is that you:
Engage honestly, fully, and genuinely. You owe that gift to yourself.
If you choose not to engage or participate in the Leadership Successful Beginnings Course, then you will not be able to show documentation of the full Launch Point experience to your program sponsors. This means we will not be able to issue your Certificate of Completion for the Leadership Development program, and we will not be able to report your successful participation to the program sponsors.
Remember, leadership is not something we do to you.
It’s something you own inside.
For those who would like live support, we host optional Leadership orientation meetings on Fridays via Zoom.
If you have already attended a Leadership Successful Beginnings Orientation Meeting, these Friday sessions are not mandatory; but they are available if you would like to:
• Ask questions about assignments
• Clarify what is needed to complete your course
• Receive additional guidance
• Share respectfully what you are gaining from the leadership material

By participating in the Leadership Successful Beginnings program, I acknowledge and agree that live sessions may be recorded for educational, quality assurance, and documentation purposes.
I grant permission to the Program Sponsor (LaunchPoint), and Dr. Merle Ray/The Noble Groups, and their respective representatives, to use recordings, images, audio, video, written reflections (excluding confidential personal information), chat excerpts, screenshots, and other program-related materials in which I may appear, for the following purposes:
• Program documentation and training
• Educational use
• Testimonials (written or recorded)
• Marketing and promotional materials
• Press releases and public communications
• Program improvement and reporting
I understand that:
• My participation is voluntary
• No compensation is required or expected for such use
• Materials may be edited for clarity, length, or presentation
• My name will not be disclosed without consent, unless already provided publicly
• Content will be used in a professional, respectful manner consistent with leadership and workforce development standards
I release and hold harmless the Program Sponsor, Dr. Merle Ray, The Noble Groups, and their partners from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from the authorized use of these materials.
This permission remains in effect unless revoked in writing.
