• Affordable Art Fair Hampstead: Children's Art Competition

  • This form is for submitting one photo of the artwork for consideration in the Affordable Art Fair Hampstead Children's Competition: Heath and Heart.

    We’re welcoming primary school pupils, from Reception up to Year 6, to create a piece of artwork inspired by the theme Heath & Heart: Celebrating your local community.

    The winning entries and runners up will be exhibited at Affordable Art Fair, Hampstead taking place from 6 – 10 May on Hampstead Heath. 

    The prize for the winning artist has been kindly provided by Jackson’s Art Supplies.

    Brief:

    Create a piece of art that celebrates the spirit of your local community. Your piece should reflect what makes this special place meaningful to you. Is it the big green spaces? The local shops and cafés? Picnics with family? Or something magical only you can imagine?
    Important: If your work is selected, teachers or parents must drop off physical

    entries between 1 – 3 May 2026 at:

    Affordable Art Fair Marquee,

    Lower Fairground Site, East

    Heath Road, NW3 1TH.

    We will return all artwork entries to the school within 60 days after the fair closes.

    Please note: The front of the venue (by the ponds) will be gated, but there will be access through the East Heath car park. Please visit our security team at the car park gate and ask for Carla Tucker.

  • Entry Criteria
    1. All entries must be 2-dimensional and no larger than A4 in size.
    2. Use a variety of materials - paint, pastels, collage - be creative!
    3. A photo of the entry must be submitted via this form by 20 April 2026. The physical artwork must then be handed to your teacher to be brought to Affordable Art Fair.
    4. If your work is selected, teachers must deliver all class entries between 1- 3 May 2026 to: Affordable Art Fair Marquee Car Park, Lower Fairground Site, East Heath Road, NW3 1TH. Please note: the front of the venue will be gated, but security will be on-site to accept the artwork.
    5. Your name, school year, age, and the contact details of a parent or guardian (name, phone number and email address) must be written on the back of your entry. Artworks will be posted back on request within 60 days of the fair.
    6. Prizes: Awards will be given in the following categories:

    – Reception and Year 1

    – Years 2 to 3

    – Years 4 to 6

    Parents and teachers of winners and runners-up will receive complimentary tickets to the fair.
