
Learn portrait basics through a glamour style photoshoot with artist Her.Manos Photography. Participants will focus on basic lighting, modeling positions, exposure, and confidence. Each participant will have the opportunity to create a portrait using the instructor camera.
Note: Students are welcome to bring their own digital camera, but it is not required.

About the artist: Adrian Garcia Mendez - Her.Manos Photography is a first-generation Mexican American photographer whose work is rooted in his Chicano cultural heritage and personal experience. Exploring themes of identity and self-expression through analog and digital processes, his work celebrates community and seeks to inspire others to embrace their unique identities. Mendez' work has been featured in exhibitions across the DFW metroplex including at Kirk Hopper Fine Art, 500X Gallery, Latino Cultural Center, and Plush Gallery. His solo exhibition, Smile Now Cry Later opens at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center in February 2026.
