  • STEP 2 - Teams, Opportunities, Scholarship

    • ART
    • Currently we do not have any official art ministry, but we would still love to provide opportunities for students gifted in drawing, painting, sculpting, etc. to use their abilities in a setting that will give glory to the ultimate Artist, God Himself. If you are gifted in one or more of these areas and are interested in using your talents to honor God and serve others, let us know and we'll see if we can figure something out for you!

    • DANCE
    • Although we do not have an official ministry team for dance, our ministry opportunities for students gifted in dance have been increasing over recent years and we are aiming for that to continue. If this is something you are interested in, let us know and we'll connect with you about what we're hoping to do this year!

    • DRAMA
    • Image field 208
    • Our Drama Team is an official ministry team which serves mostly on campus during the school year. This team morphs a bit each year based on event needs, but here is an idea of what you can expect:

  • STEP 4 - Interview / Audition

  • DRAMA

    • Drama auditions will take place during Opening Weekend (September 4-6). You will be able to sign up at the Ministries table when you go through Registration.
    • Auditions are usually done in groups of 4-8 and involve a few rounds of acting out a script as you read it, as well as some improv. Expect to be there for about 30 minutes.
  • MUSIC

    • Music auditions take place year round. Let us know if/when you are able to visit campus and we will line up an audition time with you.
    • If you are unable to conveniently visit campus prior to September, you can audition during Opening Weekend (September 4-6), but there may be limited spots remaining. Sign up at the Ministries table when you go through Registration.
    • Auditions usually involve you singing/playing part of a song of your choosing, then we will work with you on part of a worship song of our choosing. You are welcome to use lyrics/chord sheets/sheet music for your song choice, and we will provide lyrics/chord sheets for our song choice.

*Most students will arrive Friday September 4 for Registration, but some auditionees may be asked to arrive several days earlier for further interviews/auditions. Please confirm with us before locking in your travel plans.

  • AUDITION RESULTS

This isn't about you impressing anyone or outperforming another student, so please don't feel the pressure of a competition. This is about us seeking out who God wants to serve on a team and who He wants serving elsewhere. This is about us glorifying God off stage as much as we do on stage. This is way more about the Worship than it is about the Arts. Try to not get so caught up in trying to make a team that you forget to worship God in whatever you do (Colossians 3:23).

That being said, most selections will be made during the first week of class (September 8-12). You will be notified whether you are placed on a team or not. Getting placed on a team is certainly exciting, but please have a humble attitude that is ready if God has you do something else this year. We are praying for God to show us what He wants in His perfect timing and we ask you to pray for us in the process!
