Bard High School Early College Admissions Assessment Registration

The BHSEC Assessment Registration Form is only for students who are currently in the 8th grade who are applying for the 9th grade. The BHSEC schools are not currently considering any transfer students.

Please choose the location, date, and time of the assessment. Applicants can take the Bard High School Early College assessment only once and at a single location.This streamlined process allows candidates to apply to all four Bard High School Early Colleges using the results from one assessment, simplifying the application experience.

The Bard HS Early College Assessment includes a math section (multiple choice) and a humanities component (reading and writing). Applicants will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the exam. Calculators are not allowed.

Applicants who do well on our assessment will be invited back for an interview. We will notify applicants within 4 weeks of their assessment date. Applicants who take our assessment in November or December may not be notified before the December 4th application deadline.

Please note: this is the deadline to submit HS choices on MySchools. We encourage applicants to take the exam in October or early November.
