2026 HQMA Zero Tolerance Policy

HQMA ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

Welcome to HQMA. We are very proud of our facility, race track, club officials, members, and our "Family" atmosphere. To ensure your family's experience here is a positive one, we have instituted a "Zero Tolerance Policy". Please review the violations below and make sure "Everyone" associated with your race team is familiar with them. This policy will be strictly enforced and all decisions by the HQMA Board of Directors (the "Board") are FINAL. If any handler/driver/family member does not conform to the Zero Tolerance Policy at any organized event held at the track or off-site events hosted by HQMA, the entire family, participants and related equipment will be required to vacate the premises without exception. If the Board feels further actions are needed, a suspension up to and including club termination is possible at the Board's sole discretion.
Violations/Actions and Suspension Terms

1. Deliberately damaging, destroying, or defacing HQMA property & or theft of any kind on HQMA grounds or facility may result in a minimum 1-year suspension plus cost of damage.

2. The use of intoxicants or controlled substances by car owners, mechanics, drivers, handlers, spectators, members of the board or track officials is strictly prohibited before or during an event. This includes anytime cars are ON THE TRACK for racing of any kind, including practice. Violation will result in a minimum of 6-month suspension & 12-month probation period.

3. Deliberately throwing objects in the pit area / hot chute / on the racetrack, and/or stepping into the track under green flag conditions! (EXCLUDES: Tossing something to a team member, handler etc in your pitt area or while assisting get a car back on the track under caution) minimum suspension 2 HQMA event.

4. Making any physical / verbal threat or contact to any person at the HQMA facility (Including Drivers) minimum 1 month suspension.

5. Ignoring instructions from a track official (driver and handlers) minimum suspension 1 HQMA event + Driver will be DQ from the remainder of the event, and no points will be awarded for that event.

6. Violating any HQMA rules and regulations including but not limited to smoking in non-designated areas etc. Refer to HQMA track rules! minimum suspension 1 HQMA event

7. Any social media post, pictures, or videos (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Etc.) found to be detrimental to HQMA by criticizing, defaming, or threatening any HQMA race official(s), board member(s), club officer(s), family name(s), driver(s) & handler(s). Minimum suspension 1 HQMA event.

8. Driver deliberately hitting another driver while on racetrack or in hot chute. Minimum DQ from the remainder of the event and will lose points for event.

9. Driver making rude hand gestures to track officials, tower staff, and other drivers. Minimum DQ from the remainder of the event and will lose points for that event.

**ANY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OR BOARD MEMBER THAT VIOLATES THE ZTP WILL BE HELD TO A DOUBLE PENALTY**
Suspension Terms

*All suspensions are for the entire race team unless otherwise noted.
*All suspension terms begin the following race date on the schedule.
*All suspension terms may be adjusted as a result of the severity of the violation in the sole discretion of the board.
*To Report a violation, you must see a board member the day of the event and fill out a violation report within 24hrs after the event.
*All suspensions will be approved by the Board members. Race teams will receive notification of the term of any suspension by e-mail within 5 days of the violation(s)
*Suspension term can carry over into the following calendar year of racing
*For any second offense of the ZTP violations / actions suspension shall be doubled
*For any third offense of the ZTP violations/ actions suspension shall be minimum of 1 year suspension
*THERE ARE NO APPEALS TO ANY SUSPENSIONS!
*BOARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TURN AWAY RACE TEAMS ON DAY OF EVENT!

I have read, understand, and agree to comply with the HQMA Zero Tolerance Policy. Further, I acknowledge receipt of the Policy on behalf of all members of my race team and any family, friends, or others that are in attendance as a result of participation by myself and/or the driver noted below and agree to instruct such family, friends and others as to the requirements of the Policy.
