EqualityMaine welcomes you to apply for our 17th New Leaders Project: Summer Camp. This seven-day camp aims to strengthen leadership skills, build resiliency, and provide opportunities for self-affirming discovery and personal growth. At camp, we strive to foster real connections and relationships between LGBTQ+ youth, allies, and a team of dedicated counselors and staff. We aim to inspire and challenge campers with passionate, experienced, and talented speakers. Camp will include community building, leadership skills, advocacy education, LGBTQ history, and outdoor activities in a safe supportive environment!
This application is intended to be completed by the interested young person. Please take your time completing your application and answering the questions to reflect who you are. There is the option to save your progress and continue later. Applications are open through Sunday, March 15th. Applications are not "first come - first served" - so please take your time in providing thorough, intentional, and authentic application responses.
If you have any questions or need any assistance completing the application material, please email kelly@equalitymaine.org. I’d be happy to help answer any questions or support you in any way I can.
Applications are open February 6th - March 15th.
Campers will be notified of camper acceptance or waitlist status by April 3rd.
