    Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in the SCISS Summer School program may involve academic, recreational, and cultural activities that carry certain inherent risks, including but not limited to minor injuries, illness, or property loss. While SCISS will take reasonable steps to ensure safety and supervision, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the program on behalf of myself/my child.

    Insurance Coverage

SCISS provides event insurance for program-related activities and onsite insurance. However, all participants — including international students — are required to maintain valid personal travel and medical insurance that provides coverage for the full duration of their study and stay in the USA. Proof of insurance coverage must be submitted before the start of the program.

    Release of Liability

In consideration of participation in the Summer School program, I hereby release and hold harmless SCISS, its directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising from participation in program activities, except in cases of proven negligence or willful misconduct.

    Medical Authorization

In the event of illness or injury, I authorize SCISS staff to obtain or arrange medical treatment as deemed necessary for myself/my child. I understand that such costs may be covered, in whole or in part, by the school-provided insurance and/or my personal insurance. I accept responsibility for any expenses not covered by either policy.

    Photo and Media Release

I consent to the use of my/my child's image or likeness in photographs, videos, or other media materials produced by SCISS for educational or promotional purposes, without compensation.

    Code of Conduct

I understand that all students must comply with the Summer School's rules and code of conduct. SCISS reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate. No tuition refund will be provided in such cases.
