    Call for Proposals

    2026 NYSCAA Annual Conference
  • NYSCAA is seeking proposals for workshop presentations for the 2026 NYSCAA Annual Conference, September 15-18, 2026, in Niagara Falls, NY (venue to be announced).

    This program convenes and focuses on the New York State Community Action Network and is intended for Community Action professionals from across New York State and beyond.

    Preference will be given to interactive presentations, including strategies to engage the audience and leave participants with new skills and knowledge they can immediately put to use within their organizations. Sessions are 60-90 minutes and may be structured as workshops, panels, or interactive presentations. Presenters are expected to provide practical applications to Community Action, including executable directions, tools, and information that can be used with site participants, consumers, and within Community Action Agencies.

    Intended Audience: Community Action Agency staff and partners, including executive directors, program managers, frontline staff, fiscal and HR professionals, Head Start and early childhood staff, weatherization and housing staff, Data / ROMA staff, and nonprofit sector partners.

    Submission Deadline: March 31, 2026
    Notification Date: April 30, 2026

    Presenter Expectations: Presenters are responsible for their own travel and lodging. All presenters must register for the conference (at least for the day of their session). One lead presenter per accepted session will receive a modest registration discount. In some cases, limited support for travel or lodging may be available by request (not guaranteed).
