50th Season General Auditions

Auditions for the remaining four shows in our 50th season will take place on site at Hip Pocket Theatre on February 28 from 11am-6pm and March 1 from 10am-2pm. The audition will consist of cold reads from the scripts that will be available upon arrival at the audition. Please come dressed to move!

Callbacks are not determined at this time. We are pleased to honor our actors with increased stipends this season.

A Twisty Intergalactic Spectacle: Looking for intergalactic ensemble members and puppeteers

Raggedy Farm: All roles are non-speaking. Performers should be comfortable with movement, mime, and/or pantomime

Roy- A railroad man and married to Rose. Age range 35-65
Rose- Loving and devoted wife to her husband Roy. Age range 35-65
Hazel- Real estate agent, Charming and flirty, age range 20-45
Ruby Ann- adopted daughter of Rose and Roy. She is playful and romantic. Age range 18-30
Frank Dodson- a garbage man from Azle and in love with Ruby Ann. Age range 25-40
Jack Bostic- A navy man and in love with Ruby Ann. Age range 25-40
Ensemble/farm dog/ other characters. Non-age specific
ensemble/ farm dog/ other characters. Non-age specific
Ensemble/ railroad worker/ Navel Captain. Age range 30-60

OPTIONAL: We host a free community outreach event that focuses on puppetry every year entitled The Twilight Soiree. Free puppetry building workshops are offered Oct 20-27 and performances are 6PM on Oct 29-31. If you are interested in possibly participating, please let us know! No commitment needed, just looking for general interest.
