On behalf of the members of the Women of Pearls Community Action Foundation and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, Tau Rho Omega Chapter, we are pleased to announce an exciting scholarship opportunity. This spring, we will award two scholarships — the General Scholarship and the HBCU Scholarship — to African American high school graduating seniors who plan to pursue a college degree in the fall. We will also award the Zina Williams Memorial Scholarship to African American high school graduating seniors and college students.
To apply for the General, HBCU, or Zina Williams Memorial Scholarships:
Complete all required information to be considered. All information should be completed by the Applicant and submitted by midnight March 29, 2026.

Recipients must have demonstrated leadership and a commitment to service in their high school and community.

Applicants must reside or have a permanent residence in the DFW Metroplex.

Applicants must have a minimum of a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

Applicants must upload an official transcript. The transcript must include the official school stamp or seal to verify authenticity. Screenshots, report cards, or unofficial transcripts will not be accepted.

Applicants must upload an Essay - No more than two (2) pages double spaced.
Essay must also include:
* Brief Biography
* Evidence of community service and leadership skills
* How would the scholarship contribute to your college success?

Applicant must submit Three (3) letters of recommendation from civic leaders, teachers, or counselors.
The award will be paid directly to the campus enrolled after proof of enrollment has been confirmed.
