Upon receipt of the application, we will typically schedule a site visit to review your request within two weeks. During the field visit, we will discuss what defensible space vegetation modification activities could be permitted onsite.
- If approved, we will send you a Boundary Vegetation Modification – Right of Entry (BVM–ROE) permit for review and signature. The permit will outline the type of clearance permitted and your responsibilities. Payment of $150 via check to California State Parks will be required.
- If denied, we will provide a response outlining why the request was denied.
Allow one month from receipt of a completed application.
