Criteria
The ASF President’s Award can be awarded to an individual in recognition of their long-term service and outstanding contribution to the Australian Seed Industry. Nominees do not need to be an ASF member or former member, they can be any person who has served the Australian Seed Industry.
ASF President’s Award election process
- Members without a direct business association with the nominee can propose an individual for consideration of the ASF President’s Award. The nominee does not need to be an ASF member or former member.
- Written nominations must be submitted to the ASF President providing a short description of the nominee’s contribution and service to the Australian seed industry.
- The ASF President and ASF Board will determine the suitability of the applicant’s nomination after consulting the Region in which the nominee is based.
- Once suitability is determined, the final decision for the President’s Award rests with the ASF President in consultation with the ASF Board.
- A maximum of one President’s Award will be presented each year at the ASF Seed Business Gala Dinner.
Inclusions:
- There are no inclusions with the ASF President’s Award (unlike ASF Life Membership).
- The President’s Award is in recognition of the awardee’s outstanding service and contribution to the Australian Seed Industry.
