How many hours a day will your pet be alone?

I understand that pets can live 15 years or longer and can cost up to $500 each year for basic nutrition and veterinary care. I understand that my new pet requires yearly checkups just like people do, so it is important that I establish a relationship with a veterinarian for my pet’s care. I agree and understand that any fees charged by my veterinarian for the care of my adopted animal will be my sole responsibility as the new pet owner. I am willing to accept this financial responsibility.

I understand that TLSDR does not guarantee the health or temperament of my new pet. It is likely that TLSDR has no medical or behavioral history on this pet before it arrived at the rescue. I understand if my pet gets sick after I bring it home I am responsible for taking it to my veterinarian and providing medical treatments, which may be costly. I am prepared to provide this for my pet.

I understand that my new pet may require some behavioral training. I agree to provide that training and give my pet time to adjust to its new home. I understand that if I return my pet for behavioral issues, I may exchange for another pet, but I will not receive a refund. I understand that TLSDR also has a right to deny an exchange for any reason.

I agree and understand that if I am currently a tenant living in rental housing, I will comply with any lease requirements, including but not limited to payment of a pet deposit my landlord may require in order to have my adopted pet(s) on the premises. I understand that I will not be entitled to a refund of the adoption fee from TLSDR if I do not comply with any lease requirements or if my landlord does not allow me to have my adopted pet(s) on the premises.
