40th Annual Hilo Golf Classic Registration Form

The Inaugural Hilo Golf Classic was hosted by Hilo Junior Golf in 1982. Today, the Classic is the only major fundraiser sponsored by the current junior golf program now known as Big Island Junior Golf Association.

Proceeds from this tournament are used to subsidize the costs of its program events. Each year, help is sought to recruit family and friends to complete the entry form to secure a spot in the field of a maximum of 180 players.

This year's tournament will be held at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 7:00am (shotgun start). The two person modified scramble will be based on 25% of the combined team members' handicap and with staggered prizes.

Handicap:
- Players will be allowed their January 2026 USGA handicaps
- The Tournament Committee reserves the right to adjust handicaps
Format:
- Two-person modified scramble
- Team handicap – 25% of combined team handicaps
- Minimum of seven (7) tee shots per player required
- Both players will hit from within one club length of the chosen ball, no closer to the hole
- Both players will putt from within six inches of the chosen ball when on putting surface until ball is holed out
- Prizes will be staggered and ties broken by a draw
- In the unlikely event of a rainout, prizes will be distributed by random drawing
- Holes #2 and #10 have been selected as the greenie holes. Each player will have their name in a drawing for each hole. Players will have the option to enter for additional greenies at holes #2 and #10. Each time you make a greenie, you get an entry into the prize drawing. One winner will be selected for each hole by random. Mulligans cannot be used.
- Mulligans can be used at any time, except for greenie/closest to the hole. Mulligans cannot be shared.
- Players 65 and older may play from the gold tees. Women have the option of playing from the red tees, if desired. Please list handicap for selected tee below.
Because of the continued support of our golfers, parents, volunteers, and community partners, BIJGA is able to develop and maintain meaningful programs for our young athletes across the Big Island. Your participation helps provide opportunities for our juniors to learn discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship through golf.
