SCRATCH RENAISSANCE Performer Application Form

Please fill out the form below if you are an artist/company interested in being programmed by one of the first three curators for our 'Scratch Renaissance' series. These nights will take place on the following dates/locations:

Devils Advocate - Friday 24 April 2026 at Chisenhale Dance Space
spiiill - Thursday 25 June 2026 at Chisenhale Dance Space

PLEASE NOTE: You are welcome to apply to multiple nights, but you will need to submit a new form each time. You can apply to multiple evenings in the same application round, but please make sure your work / proposal is relevant to the theme of the evening. You can reuse answers across applications if you are applying with the same piece of work. You will only be selected for one night.

As a London‑based venue, we expect that applicants will either be based in London or able to travel to London independently. Applicants from outside London are welcome to apply, but please note that we may not be able to cover full travel expenses.

Devil's Advocate and spiiill will take place at Chisenhale Dance Space, which is on the second floor, accessed by a staircase only. Regrettably, the building is not wheelchair accessible. More on building accessibility here.

Devils Advocate - Where does your performance practice sit within the broader performance landscape?*

We’re particularly interested in hearing from artists rooted in nightlife culture, though we’re open to a wide range of forms including dance, live art, drag, spoken word, and more.

As part of the scratch, artists will present two 10-minute pieces across the night. Would you envision presenting two distinct moments from the same performance piece, or would you prefer to rework the same 10 minutes for each set?
