SEN 16–19 – Steps to Success
Entry Level 3 Vocational Studies
Steps to Success is a supportive SEN study programme designed for young people aged 16–19 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The course helps learners build confidence, independence and practical skills through vocational learning, alongside English and Maths at a level appropriate to their needs.
The programme runs for 37 weeks and is delivered across two class pathways, each attending three days per week.
Class 1 Pathway
Learners will study:
Sport
Hospitality
Art & Design
There is also an optional one-day Soccability session available.
Class 2 Pathway
Learners will study:
Childcare
Health & Social Care
Beauty
English and Maths
All learners will take one day per week of English and Maths, delivered at a level appropriate to their current ability and learning needs.
Entry Requirements
Learners must have an EHCP
Working towards Entry Level 1 or Entry Level 2 English and Maths
This programme is ideal for learners who benefit from structured support and practical learning, and who are working towards greater independence, employability skills, or progression to further study.
