    The Lambda Delta Gamma Chapter is pleased to host the TriBeta Northeast District 3 Convention at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania. The convention will take place on Saturday, April 11th, 2026. Attendees arriving on Friday evening are invited to join us for one of our workshops. Faculty and Student workshop details are provided within the form.

  • All convention attendees must complete this registration form to participate in the TriBeta Northeast District 3 Convention.   • Presentation Participation:

    Students are encouraged to attend the convention whether or not they are presenting. The questions below apply only to students who will be presenting research and help us plan presentation sessions, judging, and program materials.

  • Presentation Abstract Information:

    To help with program formatting, please provide the following information for your abstract. Please note, if co-presenting research, only one presenter should upload the abstract. Each co-presenter will include the full title of the research abstract to aide in correct pairing of co-presenters.

  • Judging Participation:

    Faculty judges play a vital role in both evaluating undergraduate research and supporting student presenters. The following questions help us assign judges fairly, avoid conflicts of interest, and, whenever possible, schedule advisors so they may attend their students’ presentations. An evaluation rubric is provided.

  • Faculty Friday Evening Participation:

    We will host workshops from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday evening. One for students, coordinated by our TriBeta Lambda Delta Gamma Chapter students. One for faculty, coordinated by our Mount Aloysius Science Department faculty.

    The faculty workshop will be one of the two following. If attending, please vote for your choice in the registration form.


    Option 1: The Science of the "Ask": A Speed-Dating Approach to Promotion and Negotiation.

    • Using a "speed-dating" format, participants will rotate through stations every 15 minutes. At each station, you will engage in one of the following topics: 
      Station 1: The Mid-Career Pivot: Navigating the jump from Associate to Full Professor.
      Station 2: The Hard Numbers: Benchmarking and using AAUP/public data effectively.
      Station 3: Non-Monetary Wins: Negotiating for time, equipment, and staff support.

    Option 2: Creating Assessments that Require Students to Synthesize and Actively Link Knowledge using the 3D-LAP approach. 

    • Participants should read the paper linked below on the 3D-LAP approach before attendance and bring one assessment (traditional exam, homework assignment, etc) to the workshop for review.

  • Student Friday Evening Participation

    We will host workshops from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday evening. One for students, coordinated by our TriBeta Lambda Delta Gamma Chapter students. One for faculty, coordinated by our Mount Aloysius Science Department faculty.

    The student workshop will be Resume Connections. This Tri-Beta networking event gives students the chance to rotate through short conversations centered on resume-building questions, career goals, and professional experiences. It’s a fun, low-stress way to practice talking about yourself, get new ideas for your resume, and make valuable connections. This will be followed by a fun and competitive game of jeopardy.
