The Rangers Athletic Club (RAC) is now accepting applications for AAA Head Coach positions for the 2026–2027 hockey season.
RAC is committed to developing high-character athletes within our designated draw zone through strong leadership, knowledgeable coaching, and a development-focused high-performance environment. Our AAA programs emphasize long-term athlete development, accountability, and respect for the game, while preparing athletes for advancement in hockey and success beyond sport.
Position Overview
AAA Head Coaches with the Rangers Athletic Club are responsible for leading a competitive, development-driven program that aligns with RAC values and Hockey Alberta standards. Head Coaches are expected to be educators, leaders, and role models who create positive, structured, and challenging environments for athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-ice and off-ice aspects of the AAA team program
- Develop and implement age-appropriate practice plans aligned with long-term athlete development principles
- Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture
- Support athlete development in skill, decision-making, confidence, and character
- Communicate clearly and professionally with athletes, assistant coaches, and families
- Work collaboratively with RAC administration, directors, and coaching staff
- Uphold all Hockey Alberta, Hockey Canada, RAC and FSMH policies and standards
- Participate in coach meetings, evaluations, and ongoing development opportunities
