ELIGIBILITY:
Members only - if more than one artist (up to 2 artists), all artists must be members at the time of application, and the exhibition year.
DEADLINE: June 2, 2026
RESULTS:
Requests will be approved subject review and schedule availability. Priority will be given to new members and those who have not exhibited in the past year.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
The Mym Gallery is designated for ARTSPLACE members to exhibit new work (up to two artists). The Mym can also be used to try out new work and concepts.
Members are encouraged to submit a brief proposal including images of their work.
Exhibitions run concurrently with the main gallery schedule.
Exhibiting artists are welcome to join with the main gallery openings, and/or host their own reception during open hours, in agreement with the gallery.
Artists are welcome to offer a public program during their exhibition (talk, q&a, tour, for example) in agreement with the gallery.
Artists may offer their work for sale, ARTSPLACE will process any sales with a 30% commission.
THE MYM GALLERY:
The gallery (click on the link for plan) is a small space, with 8' ceiling height and three walls of varied dimensions.
FEE:
There is no fee to exhibit, there is an expectation that artists will clean any pencil marks, repaint (if paint colour changed), fill/sand/paint nail/screw holes.
PROMOTION:
The gallery will preprare and distribute promotional materials for the exhibition at its own expense. The materials will be shared with artists to use for promotion. The gallery will prepare and print vinyl wall titles for the exhibition
ACCESSIBILITY:
ARTSPLACE has one reserved space for accessible parking. The MYM Gallery is wheelchair accessible, as is the washroom.
The gallery will produce labels at a minimum of 18pt for legibility.
If selected, Artists are asked to record a short (up to 3 min) audio description of the exhibition and the work included, for accessibility. The guidelines for this will be provided when we contact for updated information. Artists have the option of providing a script, for staff to record.
