DEADLINE:
Library Gallery proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis. Submissions are for the 2027 programming year.
RESULTS:
Submissions will be approved on an ongoing basis, subject to review and availability.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
The Library Gallery is allocated for experimental projects, new ideas, mini residencies, open studios, installations,“pop-up” exhibits etc. ARTSPLACE envisions the Library Gallery as a site for transformation and exploration. Priority will be given to project-based proposals, over traditional exhibitions.
Proposals can be for one day to 4 weeks.

Emerging, video, new media, installation and performance artists are encouraged to propose projects for this space.
Please use the submission form below to register your interest and describe your proposal. Our Gallery Director will be in touch to discuss use of this space.
Artists are welcome to offer work for sale, ARTSPLACE will process any sales with a 30% commission.
FEE:
There is no fee to exhibit, there is an expectation that artists will clean any pencil marks, repaint (if paint colour changed), fill/sand/paint nail/screw holes.
INSTALLATION:
Artists may install on the Thursday or Friday before the exhibition start date, between regular gallery hours (10-4). Where possible, the gallery can try to arrange access outside of these hours if necessary.
EXHIBITION REMOVAL:
The final day of the exhibition will be the strike day, artists are able to take their work from 1 pm, the gallery is open 11-2. If this is not possible, the artist may remove work on the following Tuesday between regular gallery hours (10-4). Please note, the gallery is not able to store work.
PROMOTION:
The gallery will preprare and distribute promotional materials for the exhibition at its own expense. The materials will be shared with artists to use for promotion. The gallery will prepare and print at its own expense, vinyl wall titles for the exhibition.
ACCESSIBILITY:
ARTSPLACE has one reserved space for accessible parking. The Library Gallery is wheelchair accessible via ramp to the main entrance, as is the washroom.
The gallery will produce labels, at its own expense, to a minimum of 18pt for legibility.
If selected, Artists are asked to record a short (up to 3 min) audio description of the exhibition and the work included, for accessibility. The guidelines for this will be provided when we contact for updated information. Artists have the option of providing a script, for staff to record.
