    DEADLINE: Friday, May 1, 2026
  • The 2026 IDEOM annual meeting will take place June 19-20, 2026, at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf (480 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024).

    IDEOM workgroup leaders approve abstracts for presentation at the meeting. Posters will be available for viewing at the annual meeting during designated breaks. There will not be an opportunity to present at the podium during working meetings.

    Abstract processing fee: There is no processing fee to have your abstract considered if you are an IDEOM stakeholder.

    INDUSTRY: Current corporate sponsors may submit the allowed amount of posters per your sponsorship category. Please contact IDEOM@dermoutcomes.org if you have any questions.

    Diamond: unlimited
    Platinum: 12 posters
    Gold: 10 posters
    Silver: 8 posters
    Bronze: 5 posters
    Friend: 1 poster

    Industry representatives who are not corporate sponsors and wish to submit shall pay a $1,000 fee per abstract.

     

    Eligibility: Stakeholders, trainees, and Industry representatives at any level are eligible to submit an abstract. Abstracts dealing with one of the topics below can be submitted:

    Outcomes in Actinic Keratosis
    Outcomes in Acne
    Outcomes in Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma
    Outcomes in Hidradenitis Suppurativa
    Outcomes in Itch
    Outcomes in Psoriasis
    Outcomes in Psoriatic Arthritis
    Outcomes in Vitiligo
    Outcomes in other areas of dermatology

     

    Abstract submission rules & guidelines:

    • Deadline to submit: Friday, May 1, 2026
    • Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and should be in narrative form. Title and author information/disclosures are not included in this word count.
    • Published material should not be submitted.
    • Encore submissions are permitted.
    • No changes may be made to the abstract after submission.
    • If your abstract is accepted, you agree to register for the Annual Meeting and attend in person.
    • Flight, hotel, and ground transportation is included for non-industry stakeholders; we do not process reimbursements for Industry stakeholders.
    • The primary author will be the presenter at the IDEOM Annual Meeting.
    • Notification emails will be sent to the primary author.

    • 1. Will the meeting be in-person and/or virtual?
      The IDEOM Annual Meeting is an in-person meeting.

      2. If an abstract is accepted for poster presentation, will posters need to be printed and shipped?
      Yes, or you can bring your poster with you.

      3. If the meeting is in person, will someone be required to attend in person? 
      Yes

      4. Is there an abstract withdrawal deadline?
      Please do not submit an abstract unless you know that author is available to present in person if selected. 

      5. When will acceptance notifications be sent?
      As soon as the workgroup leader approves the abstract.

      6. Will oral/poster presentations be available online following the meeting?
      No

      7. Will posters be downloadable or just viewable?
      Posters will be viewable at the in-person IDEOM annual meeting.

      8. Are QR codes permitted?
      Yes

      9. When is the embargo lift?
      IDEOM does not publish the abstract information online. Posters are viewed in person by meeting attendees.

      10. Are the abstracts going to be published? 
      If IDEOM decides to publish, we will let the authors know.

      11. Is there a limit to the # of tables/figures that can be included?
      No

      12. Do tables/figures affect the word count limit?
      No

      13. Is author registration required for submission?
      Once the abstract has been approved, authors will be required to register for the meeting.

      14. Can the presenting author be an author from industry?
      Yes

      15. Can a non-author present? 
      No

      16. When are abstracts due?
      The application deadline is Friday, May 1, 2026.
