✨ ABOUT THE CAMP

All-Out Art Week is a joyful, immersive art & music experience where children explore a wide variety of materials, techniques, and sounds — while also creating a beautiful Smith Rock sunset painting on canvas that they return to each day 🌄🎨

Inspired by the landscape and light of Smith Rock State Park, this camp balances playful exploration with thoughtful, intentional creation. Campers are encouraged to experiment, get curious, and take creative risks — all while building confidence and skill in a supportive environment 💛

Each camper will leave with:

🎨 A finished Smith Rock sunset painting on canvas

🖼 A collection of additional artwork created throughout the week

✨ A deeper connection to art, music, and creative confidence

🎨🎶 DAILY FLOW & CREATIVE FOCUSES

🖤 Day 1 — Rule Breakers & Abstract Exploration

Campers dive into experimental mixed media through expressive mark-making, layering, and texture — plus textile exploration and strange, imaginative sculptures using fabric and found objects 🧵🪨

🥁 Music focus: Percussion — rhythm, pulse, and movement

🌄 Smith Rock painting: intuitive base layer

💦 Day 2 — Water, Sky & Movement

A joyful, sensory day using water guns, spray bottles, and watercolor (water-safe clothes encouraged!) 💧🎨

🎹 Music focus: Piano — high and low notes, simple patterns, and musical flow

🌄 Smith Rock painting: sky, sunset color, and atmosphere

👤 Day 3 — Silhouettes & Portrait Exploration

Campers create silhouette self-portraits using a projector and oil & soft pastels, focusing on shape, presence, and expression 🖤

🎸 Music focus: Strings — ukulele, guitar, and bass; vibration, tone, and mood

🌄 Smith Rock painting: figures, depth, and detail

🌌 Day 4 — Cosmic Painting & Sound Exploration

Campers explore cosmic painting with acrylics — stars, glow, and layers of light ✨

🎛 Music focus: Electronic sound using electric guitar pedals and MIDI keyboards

🌄 Smith Rock painting: light, contrast, and final layering

🎉 Day 5 — Art Party & Celebration

A relaxed, joyful final day to revisit favorite materials, add finishing touches, title and sign artwork, and celebrate the week with art + music play 🎶🎨
