Roles & Responsibilities
Parker Square Market Management
- Establish & Host the Market: Parker Square hosts and manages the Farmers Market within the central greenspace and gazebo area. Markets are held monthly or in conjunction with special community events.
- Market Promotion: Parker Square promotes the market through signage, social media, email, website listings, and community outreach.
- Market Layout & Coordination: Vendor placement is designed to maximize safety, visibility, and patron flow while protecting the greenspace and surrounding businesses.
- Oversight & Safety: Market Management ensures a positive and safe experience for vendors, patrons, and tenants and reserves the right to address any concerns.
Vendor Responsibilities
- Offer high-quality products that reflect positively on the market
- Promote your participation prior to each market
- Maintain a clean, professional, and visually appealing booth
- Engage patrons in a friendly and respectful manner
- Build relationships and encourage repeat customers
- Arrive prepared, organized, and on time
Vendor Regulations
All Vendors and their representatives must comply with Parker Square Farmers Market regulations at all times. Violations may result in removal from the market without refund.
Parker Square reserves the right to revise these regulations at any time.
Setup & Operations
- Vendors must comply with all Town of Flower Mound health codes, permits, and regulations.
- Vendors must possess all required licenses and permits for their products.
- Only approved products may be sold.
- All consumable items must be kept at least six (6) inches off the ground.
- Vendors are responsible for the safety and legality of their products.
- Arrival & Setup: Vendors must arrive at least one (1) hour prior to market start time to complete setup. Vendors arriving within 30 minutes of market start time may forfeit their assigned space.
Vendor Space Assignment
Vendor spaces are assigned by Market Management for each individual market date. Because markets are held monthly or during special events, space assignments may vary by event.
Vehicle Restrictions (Strictly Enforced)
Vehicles are not permitted on the curb, sidewalk edge, grass, or greenspace at any time. This includes loading and unloading.
Any vehicle found in restricted areas is grounds for immediate dismissal from the market without refund. This policy protects the greenspace, irrigation, utilities, and pedestrian safety.
Once the market opens, no vehicles are permitted within the market area.
A standard vendor space is 10’ x 10’ unless otherwise specified.
Vendors must supply all tables, tents, and materials.
Vendors are responsible for setup, breakdown, and removal of all trash.
Canopies & Safety
Canopies must be 10’ x 10’ and secured with a minimum of 20 lbs per leg.
Stakes may not be driven into the ground unless explicitly approved.
Conduct & Cleanliness
- Vendors must conduct themselves professionally at all times.
- All vendor trash and recycling must be removed from the site. On-site trash cans are for patrons only. Vendors must remove all trash and recycling from their booth. Parker Square dumpsters may be used only for minimal, approved vendor waste. Misuse or overuse of dumpsters will result in denial of participation in future markets.
- Vendors determine their own pricing and should display prices clearly.
- Music or amplified sound is not permitted without prior written approval. Unauthorized sound may result in immediate shutoff and may impact future participation eligibility.
- No firearms, illegal drugs, or smoking are permitted within or near the market.
Parker Square is a family-friendly environment; vendors are expected to operate accordingly.
Kids / Kidpreneur Addendum
Parker Square proudly supports young entrepreneurs when appropriate for the market and event. The following rules apply to all Kidpreneur participants:
1. Adult Supervision (Required)
A parent, legal guardian, or supervising adult (18+) must be present at the booth at all times. Children may not operate booths independently. The supervising adult is fully responsible for compliance, behavior, safety, and transactions.
2. Approved Products: Non-hazardous, age-appropriate products only
Crafts, art, accessories, and approved pre-packaged items.
Products requiring heat, sharp tools, or electrical equipment may be restricted
3. Food & Consumables: Must comply with Town of Flower Mound and cottage food regulations. Must be pre-packaged, labeled, and kept six (6) inches off the ground.
4. Booth Safety: No running, roaming, or climbing. Children must remain within their booth space unless accompanied by the supervising adult.
5. Conduct: Respectful behavior is required. No aggressive selling or solicitation.
6. Payments & Pricing: Pricing must be clearly marked. Supervising adult is responsible for all transactions.
7. Space & Capacity: Kidpreneur participation may be limited per market
Placement may be grouped or assigned to a designated area.
8. Liability: Participation is at the family’s own risk.
