    Get ready for a week of unforgettable outdoor fun and learning! Join us for an immersive nature and river exploration experience where students will dive into the wonders of the James River through exciting games, hands-on activities, and engaging outdoor adventures.

    Please register each child individually, choosing as many camps as you would like that camper to attend.

  • Camp staff do not distribute or administer medications, and campers should not bring medications with them to camp. If a camper has a medical condition that may require medication or emergency intervention, families must notify us in advance so we can determine whether the camper can be safely supported within the scope of the program. Emergency medications such as inhalers or EpiPens may be permitted only with prior approval and clear communication with camp staff.

  • 6. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

     

    All of the above information is to the best of my knowledge, correct. I understand that participation in the James River Association (JRA) activities is entirely voluntary. I understand that the JRA event may involve “hands on” activities such as planting trees, using equipment, boating, and or being in shallow water; and I understand the risks and dangers involved in the above-named activities. I know and understand that unanticipated dangers might arise. I hereby release JRA from any responsibility for injury which might occur as a result of participation in JRA activities.


    I give permission and authorize JRA personnel to carry out such emergency diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as may be necessary for me/my child, and also permit such treatment procedures to be carried out at and by the local hospital(s) for me/ my child in the event of an emergency. I understand that any medical expenses will be billed directly to me or my insurance company.

    We are committed to making our programs accessible to all families. The information below helps us distribute limited scholarship funds as equitably as possible. All responses are confidential.

  • We want to make our camp accessible to as many families as possible. Our leadership team will be in touch shortly to chat through the next steps and gather a bit more information to ensure you fit with our criteria.

    A 20% of camp registration retainer fee is non-refundable, even if financial aid isn't granted. If you aren't selected for assistance, we’ll reach out to coordinate the remaining balance. The balance will need to be settled within 14 days to keep your spot held.

  • Cancellation Policy

    • If you are no longer able to attend your scheduled week of camp, please contact us as soon as possible. Your camper can be transferred to another comparable camp for no additional cost, if space is available.
    • Camp registration fees will be refunded, minus a 10% administration fee, if made more than three weeks before the start of camp. After three weeks, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded.
    • No refunds will be available for cancellations made less than a week before the start of camp.
    • If you are experiencing extraneous circumstances that prevent you from attending camp, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss alternate options.
