We are pleased to invite submissions to the 2026 CIPHI National Annual Education Conference (AEC), taking place on August 16-19, 2026, in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador. We welcome abstracts from environmental public health professionals, researchers, policymakers, public health partners, and other stakeholders working across the field of environmental health.
This event is part of the shared goal of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI) to support the health and safety of all people. Our event will contribute to advocacy, education, and professional competencies for environmental public health professionals also known as public health inspectors and environmental health officers.
Details on the conference are available on the CIPHI 2026 Conference website at: www.ciphi.ca
Environmental health is a critical discipline that encompasses a wide range of topics related to the health impacts of human interactions with the environment.
Abstracts are welcome on any environmental health topic, including Food Safety, Water Quality, Air Quality, Infectious Disease, Personal Services, Built Environments, Environmental Contaminants, Wastewater, and Health Equity. We also invite abstracts on topics related to Indigenous perspectives on environmental health and impacts of a changing climate on public health outcomes.
We invite you to share your research, practice, and advocacy at the Environmental Health Conference. We believe the AEC offers an excellent opportunity to bring together environmental public health professionals, stakeholders, and policymakers to exchange ideas, share knowledge and build partnerships to address environmental health challenges.
We look forward to receiving your abstracts and sharing knowledge with you at the conference.
Best regards,
CIPHI National AEC Organizing Committee
